Pyogenic liver abscess after transarterial chemembolization (TACE) can be a fatal complication and usually does not heal rapidly. We experienced a rare case of complete healing with tumor reduction treated with percutaneous drainage of pyogenic abscess developed by TACE for massive hepatocellular carcinoma.
