1. Purpose

The purpose of this regulation is to stipulate issues concerning the composition and operation of publication committee for the Journal of Liver Cancer, which is a journal of the Korea Liver Cancer Association (KLCA).

2. Name

This committee is called the KCLA publication committee.

3. Construction

  • 1) The Chairperson represents the publication committee and supervises its editorial work.
  • 2) The Editorial Board is composed of the members recommended by the members of the KLCA or the Chairperson. The recommendation criteria are as follows.
    • - Members recommended by the members of the KLCA: a person who has contributed a number of papers to SCI journals or has worked as a reviewer.
    • - Members recommended by the Chairperson: a person who is rich in journal editing and review experience
  • 3) There may be associate editors who will assist the Chairperson among the publication committee members, and a secretary can be placed among the associate editors.

4. Term

The chairperson is appointed by the president of the KLCA. The term of the chairperson is renewed for one year. However, it is recommended to serve two to three years in order to improve the quality of the Journal of Liver Cancer. In addition, for the continuity of the journal, more than one-third of the members in the publication committee are recommended to serve two years or more.

5. Functions

  • The publication committee functions as follows:
  • 1) Issues concerning the preliminary examination of submitted papers
  • 2) Issues concerning the selection of reviewers
  • 3) Items on the aims & scope of the KLCA
  • 4) Other issues related to review and editing

6. Payment

It can be paid for actual expenses required for the activities of the publication committee within the KCLA budget.

7. Appendix

  • 1) Issues not established in these regulations follow the decisions of the publication committee.
  • 2) This regulation is in force on April 14, 2017.
